Hadiya Ashokan Denounces Manipulation: Accuses Sangh Parivar of Exploiting Father

Hadiya Ashokan, whose case of conversion to Islam was made a subject of nation-wide attention by the Sanghparivar led regime in 2019, came out to clear the air regarding the latest rumours created and propagated against her by the Sangh & its allied media outlets and social media handles.

In an interview to the Malayalam channel Media One, she called out her parents of being tools in the hands of RSS by deliberately making misleading statements to media and filing habeas corpus spuriously. She added that she was consistently within the radar of the security agencies and in regular contact with them as well as with her parents. In spite of Supreme Court having reinstated her rightful individual liberties, she continues to be haunted by forces committed to Islamophobia. She confirmed changes in her marital status and underlined that those were matters, in which, other forces had no locus standi to be concerned about. These comments come in the context of recent propaganda by RSS-allied media outlets, all of them quoting her father. She concluded by hinting to initiate legal proceeding against those involved in the same. Her comments were met with Sangh-related trolls linking her to alleged financial irregularities and “love jehad”.
