Eyewitnesses say that railway security officer Chetan Singh killed the passengers inside the train after ascertaining their religion by asking their names. Syed Saifuddin, Asghar Abbas Ali, and Abdul Kader Muhammad were tragically killed last Monday.
Syed Saifuddin, who runs a mobile shop in Nampally, Hyderabad, was returning from a visit to Ajmer Dargah. His brother Yunus said that Saifuddin was a father of three children, and he didn’t know how to inform his wife. He told her that Saifuddin was killed in firing only after people started gathering in their house, Yunus added.
Asghar, a native of Maharashtra, came to Mumbai in search of work. Asghar, who had previously worked as a jewelry manufacturing worker in Rajasthan, never thought that this journey would be his last in search of better job opportunities. His family consists of his wife and five children.
Abdul Khader, a native of NalaSopara in Maharashtra, who works in Dubai, was tragically killed when he was about to return this month after confirming his travel documents. His wife and two children, who were waiting for him, later heard the news of his death.
Saifuddin was traveling with his colleague Jafar. He said that Chetan Singh was irritated by Saifudeen’s long beard. Jafar added that after the killing, Chetan Singh commented that the Muslims were working here on the orders of Pakistan. Chetan Singh was pleased with Modi and Yogi for trying to exterminate Muslims from the country.
